What a day..

I’ve spend almost all of it going through the Dominic Deegan Archive and I gotta say it’s a really entertaining webcomic one of the best I’ve come across.

It’s funny, graphic and tells a interesting tale of a Oracle, I’m up to the end of 2005 in it so I still have about 1.7 years to cover. There are many many strips because Mookie(The Artist) has a active update schedule updating at the moment 7 days a week.

I saw a preview of the Iron Man game that ties in with the upcoming movie see here

It looks interesting however it might turn out crappy as many Games put out along side a movie. The Fanastic Four II: Rise of Silver Surfer game is a good example of crap like that. So I’m not gonna get my hopes up that it will turn into a Hulk: Ultimate Destruction quality game.

I leave on Wednesday on my vacation with my family so I won’t be around for awhile so I don’t know if I will update..but I might.

Oh and since I did mention Iron Man, A cam reccording from Comic Con of a surprise trailer of the upcoming movie was leaked on the internet.

I’m having problem embedding videos on the blog for some reason, I’ll figure it out later anyway the video is pretty low quality but it looks nice and this movie might turn out good.

Yeah I’ve got the Wii and boy was I surprised by how small the system is compared with the other next gen consoles but I suppose it makes sense since it is basically just a advanced gamecube(Kinda like Playstation original versus PS1) . I didn’t get any games with it Since Twilight Princess was out of stock but no matter I’ll order it soon enough and other games such as Wario Ware are in my sights.

I got Wii sports with the system and while being a simplistic game it does have it’s charm, it also shows what the system is all about. I am pretty good in boxing and baseball but I’m not that great at the rest. It is obvious that this really is meant to be played by a group of people, games like those found in Wii sports I would find much more enjoyable if I had someone beside me playing against me/with me, kinda like Track&field, the motion detection is very good, it’s like the powerglove except it actually works.

I can’t wait to surprise my sister and mom&dad when they come home, I’m sure it will provide us with tons of fun in the coming months.

I picked up a few retro games, which is one of the features of the wii that made me want to get it the most, being able to play classic such as Zelda 3 and Adventures of Lolo was more then enough to justify the purchase to me.

It’s a gameplay video from Metal Gear Solid 4 and let me tell you, this is the game that will sell more then a few PS3 consoles. When MSG4 gets here, PS3 is as good as bought for me. It looks absolutly wonderful, and a true next gen title with new features and stunning graphics, All MGS games have it in common that each new sequel is more stunning the one before it and I really think this game will be best one yet(at least it looks like it could be)

Sorry about the lack of update..I’ve got no excuse really this time.

I just haven’t made an update not that anyone really minds, My site doesn’t really contain anything that interesting, I wish I could make more of it than just my occasional ramblings.

Speaking of ramblings, I finished Hulk: Ultimate Destruction again, It really was as satisfying as the first time I went through it back in 2005.

E3 came and went while and this years show was well..not as exciting as many others it still had some nice videos. The highlights for me that Gears of Wars is being ported to PC and it will contain new single player campaigns so I’m forced to get my hands on it when it’s here.

UT3 was hardly mentioned but I did find out that it will be coming out in November this year. I can’t wait!

Nintendo has this new thing called Wii fit which will get you fit, it’s kinda funny but I dunno..Well I certainly need it.

The new MSG4 trailer(HD version here) is so sweet that words can’t describe it so go check it out now or face my army of monkey monsters of doom!

There is less then a week left of work for me before I’m on vacation for four weeks, I will be going away during August so I don’t know if I will do any updates then, I’ll try to sneak in one 9th of August because then it will be exactly one year since I started this site in it’s present form.

Perhaps the biggest thing in my life is what I did this morning(gaming related that is). I ordered the Wii after having wanted it since like December but never having the money, well now I do and I plan on playing around with it quite a bit in the coming months.

I want to get the PS3 aswell but…it’s so expensive and there still aren’t any games out that I really really want for it as an excuse to haul out the money.

My life is rather lonely at the moment, after having moved back in with my parents for the time being I’m left with no friends in the vicinity. Kinda sucks not having anyone around to chat with about movies or games or just whatever which is why I don’t think I’ll be staying for very long, I just couldn’t take it.

So I just watched Spider-man 3 and I gotta be honest, I was vastly disappointed with it. It was far too cramped with different storylines and the drama could have been toned down about 50% in my opinion.
The end ruined the movie for me completely, I don’t know what it was exactly I just didn’t like it maybe it was how inaccurate it was compared with the comic books and like in X-men 3(which sucked even more) they are trying to mingle many different storylines from Spider-man’s life that are all happening at the same time in the movie.

Well…at least it didn’t beat Hulk in sheer boringness. I loved the scenes with the Hulk, I hated everything else about it especially the plot and that funky camera view thing, I mean what the fuck was up with that?

I really hope the upcoming Hulk 2 movie will be better although I’m not getting my hopes up.

As I’ve said before I bought Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, not a new game but certainly any fan of sandbox games and Marvel heroes shouldn’t let past them. It is I think the best Superhero based game I have ever played except maybe Marvel Ultimate Alliance. The sheer fun of running/jumping around as the hulk being able to do just about anything you like, smashing up tanks and battling giant robots..mmm me likey very much. Me smash good.
I really want a sequel too it although that is probably never going to happen now because the company that developed it has given up it’s right to make Hulk games to another developer which was a big disappointment to me.

I ordered The Darkness and I’ll get it sometime next week, After seeing reviews giving it 8.5 and many people say it’s great, I’m sure it’s up my alley.

By the end of this month I will also probably have upgraded my PC, I’m gonna post pictures and details on how it goes in here as I’ve gathered the components.

E3 starts this week be sure to watch e3.gamespot.com or other sites around it for upcoming videos and news it’s always a blast.

There seems to be a Prince of Persia: Sands of Time movie in developement and set to come out in 2009.

There aren’t many details out yet but what is known that  Michael Bay will be directing the movie.

Michael Bay is known for directing movies such as Armageddon, The Island and most recently Transformers the movie.

As someone who has watched his movies he likes fast action CGI candy so this could very well be the first high budget Movie based off a game that could actually be very successful.

We are just gonna have to wait and see.
