Looks like there is not going to be any GTAIV for me today.

The local videogame store was expecting a shipment with the game last night but it never arrived and then they thought it would arrive today but alas it didn’t. Both them and me are pretty pissed about this since they ordered it ages ago and there are plenty of people waiting for it to arrive so it isn’t exactly good for buisness if it’s late.

So you just enjoy playing…..you bastards. :p

I’m just about to pass out from exhaustion but I still felt the need to make a small update.

I think I’ll be brief and to the point otherwise I might start to ramble and make clumsy typos here and there.

First and foremost, Last weekend I received the components for my new PC upgrade, one which I’ve been planning to do forever now. I got a Core 2 Duo E8400(3.0ghz), 2x 1gb Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066, Tagan BZ Piperock 700w and a Gigabyte 8800GTS 512mb. It’s a real powerhouse, although I have been having some issues with it which I might go into at some other point but not right now.

I finally received my import copy of Brawl during the weekend
and the boot disc, it works so I have been investing a little time playing brawl with my sister. It’s great fun and defiantly a excellent party game. More on it later.

I just entered the Age of Conan beta earlier, It’s going to take forever for the client to download, it’s a whopping 12gb. I’ll give some thoughts on it when I can.

GTAIV launches on Tuesday, I can’t say that I am the biggest GTA fan even though I’ve wasted a fair share of my time playing GTA. I like the free roaming multiplayer they are implementing and I’m sure it’s going to be fun as all of the GTA games have been, I just don’t see how much innovation it’s going to have really. I mean it’s already been hyped to hell, IGN giving it a 10 and they hardly ever give tens.

We are just gonna have to wait and see, I think I’m gonna be doing some multiplaying in it on Xbox live so if you’d like, just add me to your friend list and lets play.

I’m gonna take a trip this week to visit my friends, it’s gonna be awesome, I’ll be bringing Brawl with me and I’ll enjoy kicking their ass at it hehe.

Also just want to throw it out there that Angry Videogame Nerd owns.

Seems like there are some problems with the video, I at least can’t view it.  I have heard that there is somekind of problem with the adobe flash player going on…

Scratch that, seems to be somekind of issue with firefox, it works just fine in IE.

Rainbow Six Las Vegas is good, no doubt about it. Played quit a bit earlier and I didn’t suck, especially after I figured out how to change weapons and outfits. :p

Just tried a little Dark Sector. So far it’s very promising. It obviously borrows most of it’s elements from Gears of Wars, fighting is pretty much the same and even the environment are similar. But since I love Gears of War that just means it gets my thumbs up.

Perhaps the biggest change between the two when it comes to combat is the addition of the Glaive which is a spherical boomerang of sorts that will chop up your foe into pieces and also fetch things or push buttons for you that are out of reach.

So far very satisfying.

So…uh I meant to post this like two days ago heh, sorry about that.

So what’s been going on in my life you say?

Well for one thing I picked myself up a 37″ 1080p LCD TV which understandably is the new god of my house and my gaming setup. It’s of a little known brand ‘Elfunk’(it’s actually a rebranded JVC model), while the name is funky I was a little worried that the picture would be crap but I was pleasantly surprised the picture is crisp and bright and no color problems or ghosting that I can see. This is good, especially since it was cheap as hell compared with being a Full HD LCD. I’ve tested out blu-ray movies and Playstation 3 game on it and it’s mmmmmmmmmm.

Work has died down and as such I have a lot more free time then I’ve had the past 1.5 month now when I was working 12-15 hours a day even during weekends.

Understandably I haven’t been doing much game playing in that time.

I did however get  five new  games yesterday which should keep me busy for a while now.

Army of Two, Dark Sector and Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 2 on the Xbox 360 and then I got Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and Final Fantasy 3 on the Nintendo DS.

I haven’t tried Dark Sector yet but I’ve tried out the others.

Army of two seems pretty good so far, reminds me a lot of Gears of War but I can’t pass judgement on it until I’m a little further into it.

Rainbow Six: Las Vegas 2 is okay, I haven’t played it much but it isn’t that impressive to me so far, maybe it has something to do with how crummy I am at it.

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglas is as expected a fun game, I’m not very long into it but it’s got me interested and I think I’ll end up playing it quite a bit in the future.

Lastly I thought was getting Final Fantasy III as in VI in Japan when I bought that one…Mistake on my part, but it doesn’t matter much. The updated graphics and classic JRPG fighting will keep me entertained. I’ve also never had the chance to play through the original Final Fantasy 3.

The other day I ordered a Import copy of Brawl, at the moment it’s stuck at Customs, got to send them a email and yadaya..boring. The reason I’m importing is because Super Smash Bros Brawl isn’t arriving until sometime in June in Europe so as usual EU gets the short end of the stick, I think Nintendo likes to be cruel to Europe, I mean everyone else is doing it(Sony) so they just wanted to be cool…..or not.

For today, I plan on giving Dark sector a try, fix a laptop some kid screwed up and relax.

So enough about me, what about you?
